Seethawaka Botanical Garden
Seethawaka Botanical Garden, or Seethawaka Wet Zone Botanic Garden is a botanical garden located in Sri Lanka which mainly serves as a research area and a conservation area for threatened and vulnerable endemic plant species in the Sinharaja Rain Forest region. The garden was opened to the public in late October 2014 and it is the most recently constructed botanical garden in Sri Lanka.
Bopath Ella
Bopath Ella (Sinhala: බෝපත් ඇල්ල) is a waterfall situated in the Ratnapura District of Sri Lanka. It has a shape very similar to the leaf of the Sacred fig or “Bo” (බෝ) tree, which has earned it this name. The waterfall is a major tourist attraction in the country. Local myths say that it is haunted and that it hides a treasure trove.
Sri Pada (Adam's Peak)
Adam’s Peak is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical sacred mountain located in central Sri Lanka.[1][2] It is well known for the Sri Pada (Śrī Pāda; Sinhala: ශ්රී පාද, “sacred footprint”), a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit whose name is also used for the mountain itself.
Rajanewa Waterfall
This 12m Rajanawa Ella perennial fall is used to irrigate about 9 hectares of surrounding paddy fields. It is set among trees such as halmilla (Berrya cordifolia), jack (Artocerpus heterophyllum), midella, attamba (Mangifera zeylonica), palmyra (Caryota urenus) and bamboo. However, due to increased population growth in the area of woodland continues to decrease.
Saman Dewalaya
Maha Saman Devalaya or the Great Saman Temple (also called Sumana Saman Devalaya) is a shrine dedicated to deity Saman, situated at Ratnapura, Sri Lanka who is the presiding deity of the Sri Pada Mountain which is also called Samanthakuta meaning the mountain of Saman which is believed to have the left foot impression of Buddha which he kept in his visit to Sri Lanka.
Bambarakanda Falls
Bambarakanda Falls (also known as Bambarakele Falls) is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. With a height of 263 m (863 ft), it ranks as the 461st highest waterfall in the world. Situated in Kalupahana in the Badulla District, this waterfall is 5 km (3.1 mi) away from the A4 Highway.
